Jay DeLacy

MS Graduate Student

Jay just started as a masters graduate student in the Rogers Lab. He worked in the lab as a undergraduate research assistant his senior year, helping to maintain the SWD colonies and assisted with a research project using volatile organic compounds for SWD management in strawberries. Jay’s interest in insects began after taking a class about honey bees as an elective and he has been in love ever since. After learning about a variety of insect systems, finding sustainable ways to manage invasive insect populations has caught his attention and he is looking forward to further research into the topic in the future. He spends his free time hiking, skiing, helping his little brother learn how to rollerblade, and hanging out with his parents’ two dogs Koda and Luna.
