Molly Farrell

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Molly is a Junior working towards an undergraduate degree in Food Systems with an emphasis on local and organic operations. Molly transferred to the University of Minnesota in the Fall of 2020, after enjoying a year backpacking and farming across Europe. In her year abroad, she worked on a variety of organic farms and found a passion for connecting with people through horticulture. More recently, Molly coordinates the West Bank Community Garden and works with Saint Paul Public Schools' "Grow Our Own" program. She looks forward to diving into the world of entomology as an undergraduate research assistant. In her free time, Molly enjoys cooking from her garden, meeting new people, and visiting National Parks.

Current Research

Molly will support several upcoming projects by recording data for cardboard mulch demonstrations, creating visual educational content, and measuring pest pressures within melon plots.
